Acceptance and scope

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of Coin Scanner & Coin Detector and related services provided by Muhammad Ahsan Shaaf. By using the App, you agree to these Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Your use of the App is also subject to Apple’s App Store terms and the applicable end-user license agreement.

What the App provides

Coin Scanner & Coin Detector provides AI-assisted coin identification, structured coin details, value context, melt-value tools, collector calculators, saved scan history, currency conversion, and a Metal Detector utility.

Results may include country, denomination, year, mint information, visible design features, material clues, rarity context, inscriptions, historical background, value ranges, and other collector-oriented information.

Identification and authentication disclaimer

AI results may vary because of lighting, image quality, focus, angle, wear, corrosion, cleaning, damage, toning, counterfeits, restrikes, mint varieties, obstructions, and model limitations.

For official grading, authentication, attribution, conservation decisions, or high-value transactions, consult a qualified numismatic professional or recognized grading/authentication service.

Value, market and rarity estimates

Estimated value ranges, collector ranges, rarity context, and market information are general informational estimates only. Actual value may differ substantially based on grade, certification, provenance, mint variety, errors, condition, demand, auction venue, dealer spread, geographic market, and timing.

The App does not provide investment, financial, tax, legal, or professional appraisal advice.

Melt value and calculator tools

Melt-value, collection-worth, seller-profit, currency-conversion, and related tools depend on the data you enter and, where applicable, market or currency information available to the App.

Outputs are estimates. Verify metal composition, weight, purity, exchange rates, fees, taxes, commissions, and local rules before making a financial decision.

Metal Detector mode

Metal Detector mode uses supported iPhone sensors to observe magnetic-field changes. A magnetometer mainly responds to magnetic or ferrous materials and cannot reliably determine a coin’s complete metal composition, authenticity, grade, rarity, or value.

AI output

AI-generated or AI-assisted output is probabilistic and may be incomplete, inconsistent, outdated, or incorrect. You are responsible for independently checking important information before relying on it.

Premium subscriptions and in-app purchases

The App may offer auto-renewable Premium subscriptions that unlock advanced scans, saved history, detailed reports, calculators, reduced ads, or ad-free access as shown in the App at the time of purchase.

• Payment is charged through your Apple ID / App Store account.
• Prices, subscription duration, introductory offers, and trial availability are shown before purchase and may vary by region.
• Auto-renewable subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled according to Apple’s subscription rules.
• You can manage or cancel subscriptions through Apple ID subscription settings.
• Refund eligibility and processing are governed by Apple and applicable law.
• Restore Purchases may restore eligible entitlements where supported.

Advertising

The free experience may contain advertising. Premium may reduce or remove ads where that benefit is included in the offer shown at purchase.

Advertising format, frequency, provider, and availability may change subject to App Store rules and applicable law.

User photos and content rights

You retain rights you have in photos and other content you submit. You grant us and our service providers a limited right to process submitted content only as reasonably necessary to provide requested functionality, operate and secure the service, and comply with law.

You must have the rights and permissions necessary to submit content. Do not submit unlawful material or content that violates another person’s privacy, intellectual-property, or other rights.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive, abusive, or harmful purposes.
• Misrepresent an App result as official grading, certified authentication, or a professional appraisal.
• Attempt to bypass service limits, reverse engineer protected parts of the App, disrupt infrastructure, or interfere with security except where law expressly permits otherwise.
• Submit content that infringes intellectual-property, privacy, publicity, confidentiality, or other rights.
• Use automated systems to scrape or abuse the service in a way that harms the App or other users.

Third-party services

The App may rely on Apple for billing and on third-party providers for advertising, AI processing, infrastructure, market or currency data, crash reporting, or technical services. Those services may have their own terms and privacy practices.

Intellectual property

The App, software, design, branding, original content, and related materials are owned by or licensed to Muhammad Ahsan Shaaf and protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

You receive a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the App for lawful purposes, subject to Apple’s applicable license terms.

Availability and changes

We may add, modify, restrict, suspend, or remove features where reasonably necessary for product development, security, provider changes, legal compliance, or technical reasons.

Some features depend on network access, AI providers, App Store services, supported iOS versions, sensor availability, or third-party data and may not always be available.

Disclaimer of warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the App and its outputs are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, perfect coin identification, correct attribution, accurate grading, exact value estimates, or fitness for a particular purpose.

Mandatory consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded remain unaffected.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from reliance on scan results, grading estimates, value estimates, failed purchases/sales, incorrect metal assumptions, missed collector opportunities, or service interruption.

Liabilities that cannot legally be limited remain unaffected.

Termination

You may stop using the App at any time. We may restrict or terminate access where reasonably necessary because of material violation of these Terms, fraud, abuse, security risk, legal requirements, or discontinuation of the service.

Deleting the App does not automatically cancel an App Store subscription. Subscription cancellation must be completed through Apple.

Apple App Store terms and EULA

Unless a custom EULA is separately provided through App Store Connect, Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement applies. These website Terms supplement rather than replace Apple’s applicable terms.

Consumer rights and severability

Nothing in these Terms is intended to remove mandatory rights available under applicable consumer law. If a provision is unenforceable, it will be limited or severed to the minimum extent necessary while the remaining provisions continue to apply.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the App, subscriptions, advertising, AI providers, data services, or legal requirements change.
