Acceptance and scope

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of AI Grammar Checker Dictionary, branded as Gramlyse, and related services provided by Muhammad Ahsan Shaaf. By using the App, you agree to these Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Your use of the App is also subject to Apple’s App Store terms and the applicable end-user license agreement.

What the App provides

Gramlyse provides AI-assisted grammar checking, rewriting, paraphrasing, essay support, thesis generation, citation formatting, dictionary and vocabulary tools, professional writing assistance, writing scores, tone/clarity assistance, and related productivity features.

Features and the number of available tools may change as the product evolves.

AI output limitations

You are responsible for reviewing and editing output before using, sending, publishing, submitting, or relying on it.

The App does not guarantee factual accuracy, originality, legal compliance, academic acceptance, professional suitability, or any particular grade, score, employment outcome, or publication result.

Academic integrity and responsible student use

Gramlyse can assist with outlines, drafts, thesis statements, rewrites, citations, and other academic-writing tasks. You are responsible for following your school, university, instructor, examination, scholarship, and academic-integrity rules.

• Do not submit AI-generated content as your own work when your institution or instructor prohibits it.
• Review and substantially edit generated material when required.
• Disclose AI assistance when your institution, publisher, employer, or applicable rule requires disclosure.
• Do not use the App to cheat, impersonate another person, fabricate research, or evade legitimate assessment controls.

Citation and source disclaimer

Citation tools are formatting aids and can make mistakes. Generated APA, MLA, Chicago, or other citation output may contain incorrect authors, dates, titles, capitalization, URLs, DOI information, punctuation, editions, or style formatting.

Do not cite a source you have not reviewed solely because an AI tool generated a reference.

Grammar, rewrite and career-writing tools

Grammar scores, readability indicators, tone suggestions, rewrites, cover letters, CV/resume improvements, salary-negotiation scripts, professional emails, and job-response tools are general writing assistance only.

The App does not guarantee employment, interview selection, salary outcomes, academic grades, admissions results, or professional acceptance.

User text and content rights

You retain rights you have in text and content you submit. You grant us and our service providers a limited right to process submitted content only as reasonably necessary to provide requested functionality, secure the service, and comply with law.

You must have the necessary rights to submit content. Do not submit confidential, proprietary, copyrighted, personal, or regulated information unless you are authorized to do so.

Pro subscriptions and in-app purchases

Gramlyse offers optional Pro subscriptions and may offer other in-app purchases. Pro may unlock premium AI writing tools, expanded usage, advanced grammar functionality, and/or an ad-free experience as shown in the App at the time of purchase.

• Payment is charged through your Apple ID / App Store account.
• Auto-renewable subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled according to Apple’s subscription rules.
• Prices, durations, trial availability, introductory offers, and regional pricing are shown before purchase.
• You can manage or cancel subscriptions through Apple ID subscription settings.
• Refund eligibility and processing are governed by Apple and applicable law.
• Restore Purchases may restore eligible entitlements where supported.

Advertising

The free version may contain advertising. A Pro plan may remove ads where that benefit is included in the offer shown at purchase.

Advertising format, frequency, provider, and availability may change subject to App Store rules and applicable law.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive, abusive, or harmful purposes.
• Use the App to impersonate another person, facilitate academic dishonesty, fabricate evidence, or misrepresent AI output.
• Attempt to bypass usage limits, reverse engineer protected parts of the service, disrupt infrastructure, or interfere with security except where applicable law expressly permits otherwise.
• Submit content that infringes intellectual-property, privacy, confidentiality, publicity, or other rights.
• Use automated means to scrape or abuse the service in a way that harms the App or other users.

Third-party services

The App may rely on Apple for billing, and third-party providers for advertising, analytics, AI processing, infrastructure, crash reporting, or technical functionality. Third-party services may be governed by their own terms and privacy practices.

Intellectual property

The App, software, design, branding, original content, and related materials are owned by or licensed to Muhammad Ahsan Shaaf and protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

You receive a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the App for lawful purposes, subject to Apple’s applicable license terms.

Availability and changes

We may add, modify, restrict, suspend, or remove features where reasonably necessary for product development, security, provider changes, legal compliance, or technical reasons.

Some features depend on internet access, AI providers, App Store services, compatible iOS versions, or other third-party systems and may not always be available.

Disclaimer of warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the App and AI output are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, perfect grammar correction, factual accuracy, citation accuracy, originality, academic acceptance, or fitness for a particular purpose.

Mandatory consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded remain unaffected.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from reliance on AI output, rejected academic work, incorrect citations, missed employment opportunities, professional communication errors, data loss, or service interruption.

Liabilities that cannot legally be limited remain unaffected.

Termination

You may stop using the App at any time. We may restrict or terminate access where reasonably necessary because of material violation of these Terms, fraud, abuse, security risk, legal requirements, or discontinuation of the service.

Deleting the App does not automatically cancel an App Store subscription. Subscription cancellation must be completed through Apple.

Apple App Store terms and EULA

Unless a custom EULA is separately provided through App Store Connect, Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement applies to the licensed App. These website Terms supplement rather than replace Apple’s applicable terms.

Consumer rights and severability

Nothing in these Terms is intended to remove mandatory rights available under applicable consumer law. If a provision is unenforceable, it will be limited or severed to the minimum extent necessary while the remaining provisions continue to apply.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the App, AI tools, subscriptions, advertising, service providers, or legal requirements change.
