Clear terms for a gold utility app.

Acceptance and scope

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of Gold Scanner & Detector and related services provided by Muhammad Ahsan Shaaf. By downloading, accessing, purchasing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Your download and use of the App is also subject to Apple’s App Store terms and the applicable end-user license agreement.

What the App does

Gold Scanner & Detector provides AI-assisted visual analysis, gold-related calculators, metal-detector readings, saved reports, reference tools, and related utility features.

The App is intended to help users organize information and make better-informed everyday decisions. It is not a laboratory instrument, certified assay service, financial adviser, appraiser, jeweller, or professional testing service.

Critical gold-authentication disclaimer

AI scan results may vary because of lighting, image quality, reflections, camera angle, background, plating, item condition, color processing, model limitations, and other factors.

For purchases, sales, insurance, investment decisions, disputes, hallmark verification, density testing, or high-value items, consult a qualified jeweller, precious-metal specialist, certified appraiser, or laboratory.

Metal Detector mode

Metal Detector mode uses supported device sensors to observe magnetic-field changes. Magnetometer readings primarily respond to magnetic or ferrous materials.

Gold is not reliably identified by a phone magnetometer. A magnetic reading does not establish the presence, absence, purity, authenticity, or value of gold.

Calculators, gold prices and estimates

Gold value, purity, karat, scrap, jewellery, coin, bar, profit, weight, Zakat, and related calculators depend on the information you enter and, where applicable, market data made available to the App.

Calculated values are estimates only. Actual purchase, sale, appraisal, tax, religious, insurance, or investment outcomes may differ because of market changes, dealer spreads, labour charges, premiums, local rules, currency conversion, taxes, fees, craftsmanship, item condition, and professional assessment.

The App does not provide financial, investment, tax, legal, religious, or professional appraisal advice.

AI output

AI-generated or AI-assisted output is probabilistic and may be incomplete, outdated, inconsistent, or incorrect. You are responsible for independently checking important information before relying on it.

You must not use AI output as the sole basis for high-risk, safety-critical, legal, financial, investment, insurance, or professional decisions.

Premium subscriptions and in-app purchases

The App may offer auto-renewable subscriptions or other in-app purchases that unlock premium functionality, expanded AI analysis, advanced tools, increased report access, higher usage limits, and/or an ad-free experience.

• Purchases are billed through your Apple ID and the App Store.
• Subscription duration, price, introductory offers, trial availability, and regional pricing are shown in the App and/or App Store at the time of purchase.
• Auto-renewable subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled through Apple before the renewal deadline specified by Apple.
• You can manage or cancel subscriptions from your Apple ID subscription settings.
• Refund eligibility and processing are governed by Apple’s policies and applicable law.
• Restore Purchases may be used where supported to restore eligible App Store entitlements.

The App Store listing and Apple purchase sheet control the amount actually charged in your region.

Advertising

The free experience may contain advertising. Premium plans may remove ads where that benefit is included in the plan shown at purchase.

Advertising availability, frequency, format, and provider may change as the App evolves, subject to platform rules and applicable law.

User content and permissions

You retain your rights in photos or other content you submit. You grant us and our service providers a limited right to process submitted content only as reasonably necessary to provide the requested App functionality, operate and secure the service, and comply with law.

You must have the necessary rights and permissions to submit content. Do not submit unlawful content or material that violates another person’s privacy, intellectual-property, or other rights.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive, abusive, or harmful purposes.
• Attempt to reverse engineer, disrupt, overload, bypass, or interfere with App security or service limits except where applicable law expressly permits otherwise.
• Misrepresent App estimates or AI output as certified gold authentication or professional appraisal.
• Use automated means to scrape, extract, or abuse service functionality in a way that harms the App or other users.
• Infringe intellectual-property, privacy, publicity, or other rights.

Third-party services

The App may rely on third-party services for App Store billing, advertising, analytics, AI processing, market data, infrastructure, or other technical functionality. Those services may have their own terms and privacy practices.

We are not responsible for third-party services outside our reasonable control, although we aim to select and configure providers consistent with our obligations.

Intellectual property

The App, its software, design, branding, original content, and related materials are owned by or licensed to Muhammad Ahsan Shaaf and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

These Terms give you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the App for lawful personal purposes, subject to Apple’s applicable license terms.

Availability, updates and changes

We may improve, modify, add, remove, restrict, suspend, or discontinue features where reasonably necessary for product development, security, legal compliance, provider changes, or technical reasons.

Some features require network access, compatible hardware, supported iOS versions, or third-party services and may not be available at all times or in all regions.

Disclaimer of warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the App and all outputs are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not warrant that every result will be accurate, complete, uninterrupted, error-free, suitable for a particular purpose, or capable of authenticating gold.

Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, loss of profit, loss of opportunity, trading or investment loss, loss caused by relying on an estimate, or loss arising from a purchase/sale decision based on App output.

Mandatory rights and liabilities that cannot legally be limited remain unaffected.

Termination

You may stop using the App at any time. We may restrict or terminate access where reasonably necessary because of material violation of these Terms, fraud, abuse, security risk, legal requirements, or discontinuation of the service.

Termination does not automatically cancel an App Store subscription. Subscription cancellation must be completed through Apple’s subscription-management process.

Apple App Store terms and EULA

Unless a custom EULA is separately provided through App Store Connect, Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement applies to the licensed App. These website Terms are intended to supplement—not replace—Apple’s applicable App Store terms and EULA.

Governing rules and consumer rights

These Terms are interpreted subject to applicable law. Nothing in these Terms is intended to deprive you of mandatory rights available under the laws that apply to you.

If a provision is unenforceable, it will be limited or severed to the minimum extent necessary while the remaining provisions continue to apply.

Changes to these Terms

We may revise these Terms when the App, subscription model, service providers, legal requirements, or product functionality changes. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date.
